How to make money online using Social Media

First let me give you an insight on how this Social Media works.  Social media is all the frenzy in internet marketing today. It includes marketing via social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and MySpace etc. There are many of them which you can use to advertise a product. The three sites mentioned above are the BIG boys. Using social media as your internet marketing tool, is time consuming, and takes a commitment over the long pull. But, it is tremendously effective, if you know right step to take. For example, if one of your posts, comments, links, goes a long way, it can drive masses of immediate traffic to your website.


Now, how do you get to Identify an Ads on most social networking sites, when you visit Facebook, you see some little adverts on the right side, why on MySpace it is the adverts you see that is spread throughout the site, also on Twitter, you can only see a text that is twit by twitterers

The great thing about social media marketing is that, they have great potential to make money online. In fact, it is most used by internet marketers and one of the favorites in advertising online.

Now, how to make money using social media? First the most common way to start is by promoting a new product and develops a new website or web page to showcase the product(s). In both cases, the goal is to provide information about the product, capture attention, generate interest/desire and sales.

How can you advertise on Facebook? Facebook is good to start with because, Facebook has more than 500 million+ active users, the advertising continues to get better and better everyday and the platform is amazing. Just visit http://www.facebook.com/ads/create, and start creating ads

Here is a great up to date list of social networking websites. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_social_networking_websites, some of them do not have their own self-serve advertising platform, I’d be willing to bet that nearly all of them offer advertising in some shape or form. There is a ton of money to be made on these other websites because for the most part, they are fairly untapped when compared to Facebook

Vital advice on social media marketing, choose one or two outlets and commit to them. Because social media networks require a give and take to be effective, trying to be involved with more than this just won’t be as effective in my opinion.
